Javier Alvarez - Senior Project Manager
Javier has been working on sustainable development projects in Latin America since 1992. He is a specialist in NGO – Corporate partnerships and is a founding member of Fundacion Habitat & Desarrollo; an Argentinean NGO committed to the establishment of alliances on environmental issues between communities and the private sector. He is also a member of the General Council of the Argentine Chamber of Commerce and of the World Commission on Protected Areas of the IUCN.
He has attended to many of the significant milestone events of the global environmental policy such as ‘The Earth Summit’ in Rio de Janeiro 1992.
Javier is an Agricultural Engineer and has a MA in Environmental Politics and Globalization (Chevening Alumni), from Kings College, London. He joined Living Earth in January 2006 as a Senior Programme Manager. He is working facilitating corporate-community partnerships processes within LEF’s local partners in Africa and Latin America.
