UK

Originally established as a non-Government environmental education organisation in 1987, Living Earth has created diverse resources for the formal and informal education sector in the UK and Europe.
Current Projects
Living Earth is currently implementing a project linking schools in Aberdeenshire with those in North Slope Alaska. The two regions, although poles apart, share many commonalities; namely characteristics of relative isolation and the dominance of the oil industry. The project enables teachers to work together, sharing experiences, identifying, understanding and addressing common socio-cultural, economic and environmental challenges they face.
Previous Project
Merm
aids Purse
Mermaid’s Purse was an educational project developed to increase young people’s understanding, enjoyment and stewardship of coastal and marine environments in the North West of England.
