Living Earth published an article in the April 2010 edition of the Millennium Development Goal (MDG) Review, an independent publication that is tracking the progress of the MDGs.
The article: ‘Balancing Conservation and Development’ takes an in-depth look at the work that Fundacion Tierra Viva is carrying out with cacao farmers living around the Henri Pittier National Park in Venezuela. FTV has been working to restore the cultivation of cacao in the area, providing an important source of income and employment and ensuring that local communities are able to see a tangible benefit form conservation.
