On 15th July 2009, Fundación Tierra Viva marked the implementation of the first phase of its programme – ‘Intercultural Classroom – A Space for Environmental Action’. FTV has been working with Chevron to build the capacity of educators in the Tucupita municipality in the Delta Amacuro. The programme aims to build the capacity of the Asociación Artística Cultural Nuevo Arte (ASOACNA) and other educational institutions to deliver environmental and cultural education. The programme is targeting 150 children directly and a further 20 teaching establishments.
